"the north side"
Chicago has a total of 77 communities that are officially broken down into nine districts or sides, but if you ask a local, we will tell you there are three sides to Chicago; the north side, the south side, and the west side. When you look at a map you can see the distinct boundaries outlined by the river and expressways.
"the north side" of Chicagoland covers a fairly vast area spanning from I-290 the Eisenhower Expressway at the south end, all the way to the north end of the city where it borders with the first northern suburb Evanston. Us locals usually refer to "the north side" as the 22 neighborhoods (technically they are called "communities"), from the Loop Downtown north to Evanston but not much farther west of I-90.
Here at the MW Collection we pride ourselves as being experts in our areas. Both Mark and Walker have lived, played and worked on the north side of Chicago. Our knowledge doesn't just include basic information about the areas, but a deep understanding of the locals, upcoming developments, demographic trends, and how to navigate the ever changing landscape of the great city of Chicago.
