The MW Collection of RE/MAX Edge is a team of two, dedicated to outstanding client service with a sharp focus on our fiduciary responsibility to our clients.  Mark and Walker founded this group with the intentions of capitalizing on the real estate synergies between the north side and the north shore.  The team brings over three decades of combine experience in the real estate and client service industries.    

the WALKER

Waker Robinson grew up near a little town called West Winfield with a current population of less than 850 people.  Most people lived on farms or in the country.  Walker himself was raised on a farm for the good part of his childhood.  Working since the age of 14, Walker has always had an intense drive for success.  After graduating high school he was working three jobs with his primary as a Manager for the local McDonalds.  He still attributes his hard work ethic to how he was raised, and the amazing training program that McDonalds provides its employees.  In 2001 he was elevated to Store Manager and for the next two years he would run several stores and open one in Old Forge, NY in the spring/summer of 2003.    

It was the late summer of 2003 when he was presented an opportunity to continue his education at Loyola University.  Walker moved to Chicago to get his bachelor's degree in Political Science.  This critical choice changed his life forever.  The worlds of small town America and the big cities are light years apart.  It was an exciting and frightening time, leaving his entire family back on the east coast in hopes of pursuing his dreams of making in the big city.  

While completing his degree, Walker continued to work several jobs in retail while simultaneously working as an assistant for the Dean of the Water Tower Campus at Loyola University.  After graduation he immersed himself as a full time sales person for Kenneth Cole while contemplating the next move in life.  It was right at the top of the market in 2007 when an opportunity presented itself to join a team of brokers who focused on a the highly specialized sales of senior housing real estate.  Over the next seven year, this team would grow together and complete over 1.5b in commercial real estate sales.

It was in 2012 a new opportunity presented itself, an opportunity to build his own business like he always dreamed.  The Chicago residential sales hit all time lows and key neighborhoods were booming back (mainly downtown).  Everything moves in cycles and the next real estate wave was here.  This was the perfect time to settle into a new life that continues to inch him closer to his goals and the American Dream.

Since taking the leap of faith in himself, Walker has focused on providing unparalleled customer service, having an in depth knowledge of neighborhoods he lives and works in, and uses his investment background to ensure his clients are getting the best deal possible.  In order to ensure he provides his clients with the best possible representation he furthered his education with a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University.  In addition to the continuing education required by the state of Illinois every two years, he has completed real estate classes earning him the designations of Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES).  

RE/MAX has honored Walker Robinson with the Executive Club Award each year since 2014.

Walker’s motto is "clients for life" and in 2016 over 80% of his business came from repeat clients and their referrals.


the MARK

Mark was born and bred within the Chicagoland area. After attending Augustana, a small liberal arts school in the Quad Cities, he knew his passion required the city lights and transferred to DePaul University. After debating law school, Mark decided to work for a small business within the North Shore of Chicago.

While living in Lincoln Park and working in the North Shore, Mark immediately found himself immersed within the community and built strong bonds with both local residents and businesses throughout the New Trier township. The importance of community outreach and creating strong client relationships is a skill set honed by Mark throughout his tenure in the North Shore business community.

Having lived in the North Shore for the past 5 years, Mark knowledge is extensive and impressive on all aspects of the North Shore market. With a knack and drive for real estate and an unsurpassed knowledge on North Shore homes and communities, and being heavily recruited, he decided to enter the real estate industry in 2016.

Mark’s eye for design, his extreme attention to detail, his vast personal knowledge on communities, and his penchant for client services, provide the M | W Collection with balancing attributes that makes us stand above the crowd®.
